"BEHEMOTH" of Job 40:15-24: The Dinosaur, Mammoth, Elephant, Hippopotamus, Giraffe: symbols of the second beast of Revelation 13:11-18

All these creatures were created by God in order to make us humble ourselves before the Almighty God compared to whom "the inhabitants of the Earth are as grasshoppers" in size (Isaiah 40:22). That is why the description of Behemoth in Job 40:15-24 is given soon after God says to Job "Hast thou an arm like God? Or canst thou thunder with a voice like Him?" (Job 40:9) in the midst of God repeatedly teaching Job throughout Ch. 37-41 how superior in knowledge and power God is to him. (This is a literal arm & voice, for we will behold with our eyes God as a giant, as I make clear in my discussion on Heaven.)

The beasts of Job 39-41 (these include eagles, asses/donkeys) are symbols of devils led by Satan "the Beast" of Rev. 12,13,17 who "will be like the Most High." (Isaiah 14:14) One of the many signs of this is that Job has 42 chapters and suffers throughout them before God ends the suffering in Ch.42, just as the worst suffering on Earth is supposed to take place for "42 months" during the Great Tribulation when the Antichrist "Beast" of Revelation 13 holds power and causes great affliction, just as we learn from Job 1 that Satan is the cause of the suffering Job experiences for 42 chapters, and the Leviathan Satan is last mentioned in Job 41!!! Truly "every Scripture is inspired of God" (2 Tim. 3:16), for we see Job & Revelation in harmony even though they are written by different authors inspired by God hundreds of years apart! (These correspondances are not coincidental: I show throughout the website how God associates chapter & verse #s including 11, 13, & 9:11 with the Antichrist & the false prophet of Rev. 13. God's wisdom & power is so infinite that he even has the book on suffering given the name which has the meaning "he who weeps" and which echoes the word "job" which causes much suffering to many people!) No doubt these beasts were created for us to fear both God & Satan, for "the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom" (Psalm 111:10), and we are especially supposed to fear God sending us to Hell where "the Devil & his angels" will reside for eternity. (Matt. 25) Satan will appear in Hell as monstrous as the T-Rex & Mammoth. "He [the Leviathan Satan] maketh the deep [mentioned in Job 38:17 as beyond "the gates of death"; "the abyss" from which Satan comes in Rev. 9:11] to boil like a pot." (Job 41:31) We have the alternative of beholding the giant Jesus or ugly & violent giant devils for all eternity.

Job 40:15-24

15Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee [the "thee" could mean Job or any man; Job lived around the time of The Flood, for man's years were shortened to 120 in Genesis 6, and Job lived 140 years according to Job 42:16]; he eateth grass as an ox.
 16Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
 17He moveth his tail [front or back end, which includes the giraffe's neck & the mammoth's/elephant's trunk] like a cedar [an extremely tall tree]: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
 18His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.
 19He is the chief [first: the dinosaur & mammoth are ancient beasts; the elephant is the heaviest land animal; the giraffe is the tallest land animal] of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.
 20Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.
 21He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens. [Giraffes "prefer areas enriched with acacia growth."]
 22The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.
 23Behold, he drinketh up a river [In one year an elephant can drink 15,000 gal/57,000 liters of water, giraffes "drink large quantities of water"], and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.
 24He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.

from Wiki: The Mammoth died about 4,500 years ago...Like their modern relative the elephant, mammoths were quite large; in English the noun "mammoth" has become an adjective meaning "huge" or "massive" ["behemoth" has the same meaning]. The largest known species, the Imperial Mammoth of California, reached heights of at least 5 meters (16 feet) at the shoulder. Mammoths would probably normally weigh in the region of 6 to 8 tonnes, but exceptionally large males may have exceeded 12 tonnes. An 11-foot (3.4 m) long mammoth tusk was discovered north of Lincoln, Illinois in 2005. Based on studies of their close relatives the modern elephants, mammoths probably had a gestation period of 22 months. Just as the "behemoth" land beast represents the second of the two beasts of Revelation 13- namely, the "false prophet"- which has "two horns like a lamb" and is seen "coming up out of the Earth" (while the first beast the Antichrist, represented by the Leviathan of Job 41, is seen to "rise up out of the sea"), so does the mammoth, elephant, and hippopotamus have two tusks, and so is the giraffe's and triceratops's head topped by two horns (the third horn of the triceratops is found apart from its other two horns, as seen in the pic above).

The Hippopotamus has the beast most frequently associated with behemoth other than the elephant & the dinosaur.
